Nnamdi Kanu Bail: The Beginning Of Nigerian Nightmare?





The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide was on the early evening of Friday, the 28th April 2017 thrown into jubilation when the news of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu release filtered in.

Mazi Kanu was released after meeting his bail conditions many considered as very stringent, earlier in the day top personalities of Igbo extraction was seen around Abuja court which further investigation revelled that they were there to perfect the immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu, Enyinnaya Abaribe, Port Harcourt based Jewish Rabbi are those leading the mission to see immediate release of Mazi Kanu.

As we recall that Mazi Kanu has earlier vowed that he will not accept the most stringent condition handed to him by the Justice Nyako led court and he will not abandon the rest of his co-accused namely Mazi Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Mazi Benjamin Madubugwu and Mazi David Nwawuisi in the prison.

He argued that they were in the prison because of him in the first place and is not in his nature to abandon his own people in the enemy’s camp. Kanu said

But he was talked into accepting to come out of prison in agreement that the rest of his men will soon follow him to breath the fresh air of freedom.

May30 learnt that those who persuaded him to come out from prison were highly placed chiefs and king makers in Igboland and beyond. Those who were used as front were the deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu, senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Jewish Rabbi and few others were those who went to perfect the bail of the Biafran leader Mazi Kanu.




Justice Binta Nyako was on Tuesday April 25th 2017 gave bail to Mazi Kanu on health ground, she ordered for him to be released and allowed to attend to his ailing health condition, she however gave the stringent bail condition in the history of Nigerian judicial system, which includes that Mazi. Kanu is to produce three top level individuals with N100 million bound each as sureties. Mazi Kanu should not be in crowd of more than 10 people at a time. He should not grant any form of interviews nor attend rallies and few other conditions.

May30 gathered that as many as eight senators were clamouring to submit their names as one of Mazi Kanu’s surety, some of these senators came from core Igboland and others from riverine areas.
Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe was one of the lucky one to pen down his name as a surety to Mazi Kanu, other lucky ones are Port Harcourt based Jewish Rabbi and and top Abuja based business mogul.

After perfecting his bail, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s family was on hand at Kuje prison, Abuja to receive him before been driven away by the former minister of Aviation Osita Chidioka, who said that he stand with Nnamdi Kanu and he belong to the new generation of fearless Biafra.

On the other hand, every corner of BIafraland and beyond have gone into celebration on hearing the released of their leader. Tens of thousands Biafrans trooped out on the street to welcome their heroic son.
