Biafra: “How Can I Curse Those Whom God Has Not Cursed?”.- Reno Omokri

The name Reno Omokri is not stranger or new in today’s nigerian politics, he was until May 29, 2015 a spokesperson for former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan. He was one of three spokesmen to the former Nigerian President and is credited with pioneering the use of social media for political purposes and championing the cause of democracy in Nigeria.

He is a columnist with one of Nigeria’s leading newspaper ThisDay, he has continue to be active in the same capacity as a spokesman to the former president and have contributed immensely in defending democracy in Nigeria through his many columns and series of recorded videos made public via his social media platforms.

In his recent writeup, Reno Omokri spoke about Ndigbo and Biafra in general as he normally do. He caution those who are fond in marginalising Ndigbo to be careful not to attract the anger of God to themselves. He liken Ndigbo/Biafra to the biblical Israelite that prospered in the midst of persecution and hatred by the Egyptians.

Below is his words.

Reno Omokri wrote –

“The more the Egyptians oppressed them, the more the Israelites multiplied”-Exodus 1:12. Replace Egyptians with Muhammadu Buhari and Israelites with Ndi’Igbo. With all the marginalization of the Igbos in Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Education just released results of Common Entrance Examinations and Igbo States dominated with Anambra as Number ONE in the nation.

In addition, the two candidates with the highest scores are Ndi’Igbo from Anambra. Ndi’Igbo also have their issues which I will write about next week.but for now suffice to say that “How can I curse those whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce those whom the LORD has not denounced?”-Numbers 23:8!
